TaoTronics SoundLiberty 79 Review: A Budget True wireless Earbuds

TaoTronics Soundliberty 79

Hello / Greetings To Everyone, So Today I am going to put my true views on TaoTronics SoundLiberty 79 Review.

There are many True Wireless in-ears accessible in the around 30 dollars value range. The TaoTronics SoundLiberty 79 (TT-BH079) is another expansion to what’s on proposal in this profoundly appealing value section.

From the outset sight, the SoundLiberty have a great deal to bring to the table: Bluetooth 5.0, waterproofing as indicated by IPX7, and a predetermined runtime of eight hours, which can be stretched out to 40 hours with the charging case which utilizes a USB-C association. Every one of these highlights come enveloped with an appealing plan. With everything taken into account, it’s a strong early introduction.

True wireless is trendy and Apple in particular is clearly leading the market here with its AirPods. But Samsung has already built up a broader fan base with its Galaxy Buds. Completely wireless headphones are increasingly decorating the streetscape, after all, they are practical in almost all respects, do not need any cables and are usually easy to operate and recharge. The Taotronics SoundLiberty 79 want the expensive top dogs around Apple , Samsung and Co. now attack from the bottom. You have to invest around 30$ for the Chinese crackers. But is it only the “noise” or does it actually sound good? We are now trying to clarify that for you.

If Apple and Samsung have something ahead of other brands, then it is the extremely high-quality workmanship of their own True Wireless headphones. It starts with the charging cradle for the headphones and of course ends with the small ear plugs.

Here the SoundLiberty 79 surprise with an almost equivalent level. The charging cradle is made of a somewhat softer plastic, but it is still very solid. When you open it, you don’t really have the feeling that the hinge suddenly gives way or that you are just holding a hollow box in your hand. That makes an impression after all, after all, you pick up exactly this case along with the headphones on the inside. The first impression is correct here.

If you open the lid, the plug for the left ear is also on the left and the other is on the right. The division is therefore intuitive. The Razer Hammerhead Earbuds, however, are mirror-inverted in their charging cradle , which took me some time to get used to. Two big letters also draw attention to the sides. So that’s not a problem at first. Below are some of the technical specifications of the headphones. However, the manufacturer does not provide more detailed information. You won’t find much about the specifications in the enclosed instructions either.

On the other hand, the teardrop-shaped housing of the headphones is a bit strange at first. It took a while before I was able to put this in my ear without standing in front of the mirror or having to readjust significantly. A small, soft rubber clip intended for the inside of the ear in front of the ear canal is helpful. Called Earwing by other manufacturers. If this is then inside, the headphones sit pretty firmly and perfectly in the ear canal. Of course, it still depends on the shape of the ears, but it wasn’t a problem for me. The IPX7 standard certified and thus sweat-resistant plugs sat with me without any major problems. Even longer wearing was possible without problems.

Sound Quality : Taotronics soundliberty 79

These are not the first headphones that Taotronics have tested and therefore a certain characteristic can be seen here. The SoundLiberty 79 are kept relatively dark in terms of sound and also emphasize the bass properly. Initially, this leads to the fact that you don’t really notice the mids at all, as these seem to be swallowed in a kind of pincers between the well-emphasized highs and the swallowing “low pressure area”. The mids are not gone, however, but they can still be heard and blend into the sound in a somewhat unusual way.

If you mainly listen to music with a lot of pressure in the lower segment, you will probably like the Taotronics SoundLiberty 79. You emphasize the bass very emphatically. Hip hop and electronic music with a lot of bass benefit significantly here. But it could also be a bit much, depending on how you prefer to consume your music. However, other styles of music have to surrender to the rather dark tone of the plugs. Of course, it helps to use equalizers that adjust the sound for you. But you won’t get rid of the dark note completely.

I’ve tried very different styles. The slightly darker character of the headphones is very atmospheric when gaming. Here, too, you should choose a game that fits. Journey wasn’t really that great with the SoundLiberty 79. Instead, they shone on Pendolum’s Immersion album. It was difficult with Lindsey Stirling, because the violin is very present, but the rest seems to disappear between high and low.

Control

Incidentally, what you would least expect at this price range would be smooth operation. I have often seen various plastic plugs fail here and leave me at a loss. However, the Taotronics SoundLiberty 79 proved me wrong and even surprised me. It was a bit bitchy at first, but it got a lot better with more getting used to. Interesting: Both headphones perform different actions depending on the gesture and form a small symbiosis in operation.

If you tap on the touch surface of the right headphones, the volume increases. The left, however, reduces it. Similar to the track selection: tapping three times on the right jumps to the next track. Repeated three times on the left headphones or skipped back one track. A double tap on one of the two headphones can be used to stop. Google Assistant or Siri can also be activated with a very long touch. The smartphone can therefore remain in the pocket for most activities, but it does take a little time to get used to it.

The Chinese plugs also bring a real AirPod feeling. Once they are connected to a smartphone, they pair with the device again as soon as you open the charging cradle and the mobile phone is within range. It doesn’t matter whether you use an iPhone or Android device. In both cases it worked excellently and is of course a significant gain in comfort.

Performance

What I didn’t like that much in the first place, however, is the voice quality. I don’t mean how the other person sounds on the phone, but how you are understood. In most cases it was said that I would sound a little far away. The filtering out of background noise did not always work really well either. So at this point I would assume a good average rating. It’s not really bad now, but there are better things in this category.

On the other hand, the battery life is really great. Manufacturer Taotronics states the value of its SoundLiberty 78 with around 8 hours. I can also sign that at this point. Most of the time I was just below that, but if you only listen to music and keep the volume at a not too high level, you can get by with the plugs for a long time. In addition, the case can charge the headphones a few more times, which leads to a total of over 40 hours of running time without the things having to be connected to the cable. That knows how to please!

You can also use the SoundLiberty 79 for sports. Thanks to IPX7, they are protected against splash water and thus also repel your sweat. However, you shouldn’t clean them under running water. A damp cloth can help. During conventional jogging, which has become a popular sport these days thanks to the Corona crisis, they do not fall out of your ears, which is also thanks to the earwings.

Conclusion

So lastly, Products from China in particular are currently overwhelming the headphone market and there are only a few that really make sense to buy. Often there is a lack of quality, features, or other things that are just not worth paying for.

With the Taotronics SoundLiberty 79 we see the whole thing a little differently. They are definitely worth buying for the price they have because they are really decent in-ear true wireless headphones. I particularly liked the battery life and the fairly decent operation after a little getting used to. The great workmanship and IPX7 are added.

The sound, which is accompanied by a dull and thus rather darker basic tone and simply does not go with some of my music, has to be a bit behind. However, if you listen to genres that are heavily bass-heavy, the problem should be significantly less and you can still have a lot of fun with the SoundLiberty 79 in terms of sound.

But the price is unbeatable in this category and it is already considerably low compared to the performance: The Taotronics SoundLiberty 79.

Thank You!!!
